Questions Jonny gets asked
How does leasing work, and how is it different from financing?
“Leasing is essentially paying for the portion of the vehicle you use during a set term rather than financing the entire purchase price. Your payment is based largely on the vehicle’s expected depreciation, lease terms, mileage allowance, and current incentives. At the end of the lease you typically have options including purchasing the vehicle.”
How do I know how much my Ram can actually tow, and what truck do I need for my trailer?
“Towing capacity depends on much more than just the model of truck. Engine, drivetrain, axle ratio, payload, configuration, hitch type, and the trailer itself all affect what you can safely tow. I actually built RAMTOW.com to make this easier — customers can look up Ram towing information and use the Trailer Fit tool to help work out what they need.”
How do you determine what my trade-in is worth?
“We look at several factors, including the vehicle’s year, mileage, condition, equipment, history, and current market demand, and we compare it against similar vehicles and recent sales data. My goal is to explain how we arrived at the value so you understand the numbers rather than just being handed a figure.”
How much money should I put down?
“There isn’t one amount that’s right for everyone. A down payment can lower the amount financed and your monthly payment, but I usually recommend looking at the entire deal first. Your trade, interest rate, loan term, budget, and future plans for the vehicle all matter.”
Should I buy new or used?
“It depends on your priorities and budget. Used vehicles can offer great value and lower upfront costs, while new vehicles may offer better financing or incentives, full factory warranty coverage, and the latest technology. Sometimes the incentives on a new vehicle make the difference smaller than people expect.”
Colorado Springs connection
Jonny moved to Colorado in 2021 and now calls Colorado Springs home, raising two daughters here with his wife. The family is involved with Rooted Church in Colorado Springs. He has personal experience with Colorado winter and mountain driving, high-altitude driving, towing, and travelling through the mountains in different types of vehicles — and a good sense of how quickly road and weather conditions change here, and why drivetrain, tires, and payload matter because of it.
Outside the dealership
Outside work Jonny enjoys hiking, travelling, riding his motorcycle with his wife, and spending time with his family and his church. He drives a 2024 Acura ZDX and a 2023 CFMoto 650 Adventura motorcycle, and his favourite vehicle he has owned was a 2017 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon.
