Why Aerie

The van you actually wanted, without the wait.

Aerie Vans started with three people who wanted a van that did things no other van could do, at a price that let them actually go use it.

So we build them ourselves. Every Aerie Van is a new Ram ProMaster converted in our own shop, then sold and serviced under one roof at Perkins Motors. You can walk the lot, open the doors, and drive one home the same week — and bring it back to the same people who built it.

Inside

A layout that changes with the trip.

The bed isn't fixed. It rides anywhere from 18 to 54 inches off the floor, so the same van hauls two mountain bikes upright on Saturday and sleeps two comfortably that night. Drop it low, and it converts to a forward- or rearward-facing couch.

Sleep

  • Full-size 75″ × 54″ bed
  • Height adjustable, 18″–54″
  • Converts to forward- or rear-facing couch

Galley

  • Stainless sink and faucet
  • 6-gallon fresh and 6-gallon grey tanks
  • Electric water pump
  • Adjustable table with soft-close drawer

Gear Storage

  • Three shelving units with secure cords
  • Wall cargo anchor system
  • L-track tie-down system

Comfort

  • Roof vent fan
  • LED ceiling lights
  • Adjustable reading lights
  • Insulated, sound-dampened cabin

Power & Systems

  • 100Ah AGM deep-cycle house battery
  • Recharges on shore power and while you drive
  • 1000W inverter for 120V power off-grid
  • Shore power hookup with 120V outlets
  • 12V outlet with USB
  • Battery disconnect and low-voltage protection

Construction

Built like it has to last.

The parts you never see are the ones that decide whether a van is still solid in ten years. We don't cut corners behind the panels.

Start with a new ProMaster

Every build begins with a brand-new Ram ProMaster off our own lot — never a used chassis.

Ceiling insulation and wiring runs during conversion

Insulate and wire

Foam insulation and sound-dampening go in before anything else, with wiring routed and labeled behind the panels.

Galvanized steel framing installed inside the van

Frame it in steel

A galvanized steel frame carries the bed, cabinetry and tie-down system — not screws into sheet metal.

Finish it in house

Panels, upholstery and Baltic birch cabinetry are cut, sewn and fitted by the same crew, in the same building.
