Experience and training
Aaron has worked in the automotive industry since November 2015 and has held sales, finance, and management roles. He came to Perkins Motors in February 2019 as a Finance Manager, was promoted to Finance Director, and became General Sales Manager.
His background in finance is the reason customers are often sent to him for rate and approval questions. He spends most of his time on structuring deals that work, developing the sales team, and keeping the dealership’s pricing and inventory decisions honest.
On what makes Perkins Motors different: “Based on my experience we are different from other dealerships because we will generally always do what is right. This doesn’t necessarily mean a customer is always right — it means we handle situations in the right way.”

- Jeep Expert certified
- Associate of Science, Aviation (Air Traffic Control)
Questions Aaron gets asked
What is the best interest rate right now?
“The best interest rate is subject to a few things, such as loan to value and credit worthiness. There is not one rate that applies to everybody — it depends on the vehicle, the amount financed against its value, and your credit profile.”
Are extended warranties worth it? Do you recommend buying one?
“Yes, it is generally always a good idea to have one. With the cost of labor and parts rising, it is better than risking a costly repair later down the road. If I had not had one on my own truck, I would have regretted it.”
Can I get a better deal?
“As a market-based dealer, we have generally done the negotiating for you. We always put our best price forward to show transparency with our customers.”
Is it better to finance or pay cash for a vehicle?
“I usually recommend financing, depending on where rates are. I am not a financial advisor, but I believe in investing my money — especially if it earns more than the interest rate on the car.”
What is the one thing you wish customers knew?
“Be upfront and honest with us. It is far easier to help when we have all the variables in front of us.”
Colorado Springs connection
Aaron was raised in Colorado Springs and graduated from Rampart High School. Between the outdoors and hunting, he says he could not imagine living anywhere else. He has personal experience with off-roading, overlanding, camping, hunting, fishing, mountain driving, and winter driving through ski season — the conditions most of his customers are actually buying for.
Outside the dealership
Aaron is an avid public-land elk hunter, and golfs the rest of the year — “literally two of the most expensive hobbies.” He drives a 2019 Ram 1500 and calls it the most comfortable vehicle he has ever owned. He has also owned Wranglers and a Grand Wagoneer. One note on his style: “If I ever sound blunt, it is because I prefer to be transparent over dancing around a subject.”
